Existence of Asan rivers in Dehradun is under threats on account of highway projects dissecting its watershed, unplanned urbanization damaging its catchment. Dumping of solid & liquid waste in massive amount hs only degraded the rivers beyond recognition. https://t.co/QjAosVtDEO
Thr r housing colonies named Jamuna Vihar & Ganga Parisar along Asan course but nothing to remember Asan. It appears Asan is a forgotten river & seen as filthy drain by admin & residents.https://t.co/RTv0V5CG6P @DdnNagarnigam@smartcityddun@dmdehradun@cleanganganmcg@wii_india
The brutal murder of 3 policemen in UP, Bihar & MP in May-June 2024 indicate the violent nature of illegal sand mining operations & abject failure of govts in State & at Centre in ensuring compliance to norms & deter increasing attacks on govt officials. https://t.co/7qBO2X3tih
