No fulll shutdowns, but lanes were definitely shut down for small structural repairs from 2012-2020, from personal experience. Yes, the construction (painters?) truck explosion on the lower level, etc.

@kittymuppet @the_transit_guy I was not originally. Both were notoriously dropping concrete or other pieces and often closing lanes for emergency repairs, when I lived there, though.

@HowEPhil People always think “more lanes move cars faster”, but man, it always seems like setups like this do better, as there’s now NEVER a car turning left blocking traffic, and no one swerving quickly to get around that left turning car. Love to see it!
