@AlexEdgerton @ctrlaltrefuel In the West it is. Hard to argue that £25k, which is what this car will roughly retail around in China, is an eye-watering price tag. It'll be more like £50-60k abroad of course.

@AlexEdgerton @ctrlaltrefuel Haha. Apparently everything that's an estate is a shooting brake now. I think they just like the name. Not sure what their criteria is. Frameless windows means it must be a coupe therefore a shooting brake? I don't know. I blame Merc for starting all this.

@BrianTycangco Off the beaten track. A tier 4, 5, or 6 city. A rural village. See all of China, not just the shiny bits around the edges. Oh and Kunming because it's the best place.

@8RE_HA8 @GregKable Well obviously a tricycle from 1886 wouldn't work at all on a modern car. The point was they used to know how to design desirable things but over the last three years they've apparently run out of power to light the design studios. I miss their late 00s/early 10s stuff.

@mattlyon Couldn't agree more. I used to think their goal was to design something so ugly even the Chinese wouldn't copy (or that Chinese CEOs wouldn't ask their designers to copy) but they're taking it pretty far.
