@PatrickMoorhead interesting they didnt raise guidance.
Wonder if theyre losing share within xpu, xpu losing share to gpu, lack of memory supply, or something else.
@boymanrobshit before they miss, hyperscalers will not raise capex, thats when you bail, unless amd takes major share which wont be possible until amd ramps
@BenBajarin yes that we know, bigger read through in what they have to say about networking. want to hear about switches, optics, and Nics for cpu racks.
@ScroogeCap to play devils advocate, we just had a monster rate spike, if hormuz opens and oil tanks, credit market will flow. which directly helps ai trade
@RihardJarc its probably 1, but its obvious at this point in the cycle you want to own companies that sell ai infrastructure. at some point youll want to own the buyers, when compute demand softens, but were not there yet
@dmtnm44865@Alex_Intel_ lol theyre not, especially on single core preformance, that was a lie. arm is lower power, more cores. x86 owns high performance single core.
@BenBajarin@jpatel41 he made a lot of claims about vera preformance vs "x86 cpu" tonight, wish there was some actualy data, or even a specific x86 chip lol
@BenBajarin kinda disagree with this. clearly more cores are needed. but its not obvious that higher core count lesser processing cpus are ideal. more of the topline x86 may be ideal, more tokens, more revenue.
your memory thesis holds either way.
@R_and_Invest i think these numbers r too low but i wud take all of this with a grain of salt whether bearish or bullish. all of the banks missed this move from the beginning , and they wont correctly predict the end either
