@duediligenceguy When gold was bouncing around the 4k mark, and there was broad consensus that gold could go lower, I think that was the signal that the bottom was in.
Bull markets reward contrarianism
@DonDurrett Think the 4000 has been tested too many times for talk of 3500. That’s a damn solid support base that’s formed around 4k. I could be wrong but I think we’ve seen the lows.
@CrackedCapital In the main article that’s emailed to subscribers, you highlight jurisdiction risk, timescales, water requirements etc. if higher prices aren’t solving that, then I think multi-metal operations, especially gold/copper producers currently operating, will command huge premiums.
@MrFamilyOffice Context is surely everything here.
What’s to say this person has been an abysmal child to their parents, only turning up to say hi when some handouts are on offer? I’m not saying this is is the case but people are jumping to conclusions with less than half a story.
@CrackedCapital It’s why gold copper plays are the best way to go. GGP one of the best out there. The gold insulates you against deflationary shocks to copper. I’m bullish copper but time and again copper cycles can kill bulls.
@MacleodFinance There is undoubtedly jeopardy for Iran if the strait remains closed for much longer. Alternatives can and will be found; the gulf states are close to agreeing on a network of pipes to transport key commodities such as oil, gas etc. Iran will know it doesn’t have forever.
@DonDurrett Whether it goes to 1m or zero it still has no intrinsic value. It is a speculative trap of an asset packed to the gills with liquidity. It’ll never go to zero but its value will be determined by the number of suckers in the casino, not any intrinsic worth or functionality.
@DonDurrett It’s disappointing you consider ‘holding’ a credible use case. In which case, I might pivot into investing in sand in that case, that’s nice to hold!
@SeanZubick Maybe, but g/m just one metric. You could have world class g/m but what if it’s:
At depth
Miles from infrastructure
Difficult geology
Wet
In the hands of a company that’ll need to dilute
Picking mining stocks based on assays is not for the uninitiated.
@hinds_stuart@Greatland_GGP I know that beautiful intercepts don’t move GGP like they used to, but it still gets me excited. I should imagine those boys on the rigs have their tails up hunting for more!
@DonDurrett Majors, in the main, face a similar issue of declining ozs.
Explorers it’s the usual lottery ticket setup.
Mid tiers are agile and hungry enough to keep AISC low, whilst also expanding their resources through growth drilling, they will be the big winners of this bull market.
@BullTheoryio Nonsense. The market decides what sort of asset an asset is, and prices it accordingly. It cares little for whatever label the US government chooses to put on it.
