“What we’ve learned about Palestinians is the duality of their invisibility and their power," says @4noura.
"They are not recognized as made of flesh, that they have a life of dignity and a normal life to return to, that mothers grieve, that fathers grieve, that there is love for one another."

A Palestinian Boy In Gaza Paints The South African Flag 🇿🇦 On a Bombed Building Wall With a Message To South Africans Saying : " FROM GAZA Thank You South Africa ♥️"
More than 920 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli regime in Gaza since the October 2025 "ceasefire." 64% of Gaza remains under Israeli control, reconstruction has yet to begin, and Palestinians continue to be displaced into an ever-shrinking enclave.

Apartheid South Africans used to say all the time that South Africa was "the only democracy in Africa."
They would herald South Africa's High Court decisions such as those nullifying racist state laws, as evidence of their democracy!

Seven months after Resolution 2803, Gaza remains under bombardment, displacement continues, reconstruction has not begun, and humanitarian access remains severely restricted. Yet the Board of Peace continues to frame genocide and colonial domination as a technical process of "stabilization" and "transition."

As Ghana moves forward with it's anti-LGBTIQ bill, it's important to acknowledge what Parliament hasn't passed: legislation protecting the property rights of spouses, constitutionally mandated since 1993, that would meaninfully protect families. So, the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill is not really about family values. We call on regional and international partners to stand with LGBTIQ+ Ghanaians and maintain pressure at this critical moment.

🔴 ADDAMEER: The UN blacklisting of the occupying power “Israel” for Conflict-Related Sexual Violence is a significant step, but accountability and concrete international action remain essential.

This from his reply "South Africans do not judge government by the speeches we make or the debates...They judge us by whether they feel safe in their homes, whether they can find work, whether services are delivered, whether corruption is punished..."etc.
@KayaOnAir@PhemeloMotene Listened with interest to President's reply to the budget speech. Latter part of his speech is particularly intriguing as we observe the xenophobic marches in many parts of the country, including my hometown Ladysmith, scary -https://t.co/lyYErP42TF
Our members organised yet another successful March to the Ladysmith police station today🙏🏻 🇿🇦Unfortunately a few moments after children were rushed to hospital after consuming poisoned snacks, so far they are being attended to…
Reading How To Sell A Genocide, the NYT called every major population centre in the Gaza Strip a "Hamas stronghold" at some point.
They actively worked to militarise civilians in Gaza to justify genocide
This is imported hate. They bring the conferences to recruit local MPs to support their anti-rights/ anti-LGBTQ / anti-women’s rights agenda, then resource them with networks, narratives, draft laws & policies, and get the bill passed. Ghana’s Parliament failed the Constitution
Rightify Ghana Condemns Passage of the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, 2025 (Anti-LGBTQ Bill), Urges Presidential Rejection
Its passage marks a troubling moment for human rights, constitutional freedoms, public health, and democratic governance in Ghana.
@JDMahama
Anti-LGBTQ MPs in Ghana’s Parliament adopted the Ugandan playbook.
1️⃣Pass the bill
2️⃣ Host Anti-Rights Conference with President as Special Guest
3️⃣Get the bill assented
Ghana hosts the 4th African Inter-Parliamentary Conference on Family Values and Sovereignty next week ‼️
The UN adds Israel and Russia to a blacklist of countries engaged in sexual violence, after documenting “patterns of sexual violence” by Israelis against Palestinians, citing assaults on 14 men, seven women, nine boys and one girl from Gaza and the West Bank. Israel said it would cut off ties with the UN Secretary General; seems to me it would make more sense to investigate and allow Red Cross visits. https://t.co/9wSkaVsvfx
People claiming to be protecting African Family Values are being lectured by Western / US evangelicals, right-wing groups on what should be African Family Values. Here is Sharon Slater of Family Watch International in Ghana’s Parliament in 2019. They brought the anti-LGBTQ bill
