All 9 of CJ Stroud’s completions vs. the Titans blitz in Week 5.

Per PFF: 9/10, 95 yards, 9.5 YPA and a 90.4 passing grade.

Robert Saleh struggled to generate pressure with a four man rush and was forced to bring extra defenders, but that didn’t work either.

Some blitzes were identified and accounted for pre-snap, while others were countered with RPOs, screens or moving the pocket to change Stroud’s launch point.

But my biggest takeaway was the receiving corps. This was the best I’ve seen the entire group collectively execute its responsibilities against pressure, recognizing blitzes, getting their eyes around when they were hot and giving Stroud answers.

A couple screens and a checkdown mixed in, but overall some really encouraging execution from Stroud, the receivers and the offense as a whole against the blitz.
