@ChrisWalkerCBC Ugh. Just ugh.

Hating @WestJet & its lack of customer support. Per an email from #WestJet, we were directed to call the WestJet Guest Support team, but there is no direct number. We have called 4 times & after explaining to agents, we get transferred, explain again & our call gets dropped.

Two weeks later, spoke to WJ flight attendant who was supposed to be on original cancelled flight. She told us that b/c the flight was delayed, crew would have gone over max work day, & no replacement crew available, so it was cancelled.

[Ivan Idzan @IvanIdzan]

Called @checkupcbc to say @WestJet failed as an organization after cancelling our flight to ZLO Mexico on Dec 22. Dec23, YYC WJ check-in staff couldn't even tell us if the replacement flight existed. Got us put on another flight to PVR in Mexico & drove 3.5 hours south.

[Ivan Idzan @IvanIdzan]

The replacement flight to ZLO actually went & we should have been on it. We know b/c friends were on it & heard our names called for boarding for 1/2 empty plane. We never received any notice we had been rebooked on that flight. WJ agent should've been able to tell us @ check-in.

@donnamatrix @capcityarcade Friends of mine hosted a birthday party there just before COVID, and my family members who attended (all adults) had a great time.

[Ivan Idzan @IvanIdzan]

@donnamatrix Went to LA/Disneyland in 2006, & the little I saw of the highways through the city (on coach buses & when we rented a convertible on a Sunday to go to the Hollywood Farmers' Market) confirmed they are a horrible implementation. LA needs better public transportation.

[Ivan Idzan @IvanIdzan]

@jacksonwweaver You also missed out Canadian @edbrisson who has written/writes for @Marvel and @DCComics

[Ivan Idzan @IvanIdzan]

@donnamatrix Very sorry to hear this about your friend, Donna. I know something of the sadness you feel. I lost my best friend to leukemia (actually a lung infection after a bone marrow transplant to treat the leukemia) back in 1996. #FuckCancer

[Ivan Idzan @IvanIdzan]

@donnamatrix My son is in a similar class of misery with long COVID (not sure if he gets to check the same boxes as you yet). I see the pain and fatigue on his face and it tears my heart.

@j_mcelroy @BrendanDawe Same thing happened to me before tweeting was a thing. Been almost 30 years mostly working in IT instead.
