@TokenGremlin What makes you think that they are planning to release it to the public ? Anthropic has at least a plan on how to control their models. OpenAi doesn't.
@globetrotter_nl@matthewcanham Well it could be worse. You could live in Europe and you would pay the same price without this service at all. And OpenAi would completely ignore you. That's why I gave up on openAi.
@TokenGremlin Yep and the sad thing is that they are not learning. What they really lack is vision and strategy, they just copy whatever other labs/companies are doing. They try to replace that with overhype and resets. Sad.
@TokenGremlin The more powerful the model becomes, the less they will be available to the public as it will be impossible for the labs to control them. At some point, the frontier models will be only accessible by a limited number of companies in a very controlled environment.
@CristianRus4 Resets were originally given to compensate for issues on OpenAi side. People were grateful as they were a sign that openAi was taking their customers seriously. It is now used to hide their lack of strategy and execution. Best example was their completely over hyped devday.
@SahilPanhotra You are considerably underestimating how complex it is for most people to setup Hermes. People don't want to follow a tutorial to setup their agent. They want a ready to use, intuitive and efficient product. And this is definitely not Hermes.
@TokenGremlin Anthropic is a much more focused company with a more well defined strategy. OpenAi is all over the place honestly. Bel is an excellent model but openAi doesn't have the guardrails that Anthropic managed to set.
@0xrwu The fact they haven't done it yet is just mind-blowing to me. OpenClaw showed them the potential. All they had to do was to replicate most of it in a secure and safe way. I genuinely don't understand their strategy at this point.
@thsottiaux@tenobrus You are completely ignoring the complaints of EU-UK users who pay more for a worse product. 2 days after devday and still complete silence. How is that acceptable ?
