He got reality-checked that NS is not sovereign in Malaysia, and I think those are lumps that he should have just accepted. As he said, the passport checkers were very kind.

If he relocates NS to Mexico City or India, he's going to be super far away from his daily life with his family, or he needs to uproot them.

My assumption is that this is already a pre-planned PR campaign, so they must have already signed a new place. It has to be a place friendly for his wife and kids. Which probably is not India or Mexico City, etc.

Balaji’s wife is not Indian btw she is Thai-Chinese and European. My complete guess is that NS will move to Thailand or Laos. Family gets to stay in Singapore and these places are still cheap, relatively safe, and beautiful.
