@Ian_Allis0n@sweatystartup This is an underrated post. Lots of what people think is a choice is not at all. True for the high and low energy people in this example
@dig_deeper1@clayhepler That isn't what happens when someone reads a lot. Lol. I get your point but reading a ton at a young age is the path to wisdom. It isn't exactly the same as staring at a screen for days on end.
@mheusser@sweatystartup Also no cell phone anywhere they went. No one could ever bother them when they left the house. And no TV. Must have had a shit ton of time to do something worthwhjle.
@BenNderituM @mrwhoof@sweatystartup@realEstateTrent He just means they didn't actually pay those rates and he is correct. Tax won't fix things. It's the division of profits that fixes things and lord knows we can't discuss anything that rhymes with communism.
@sweatystartup @BenNderituM @realEstateTrent Can't boycott. You don't get to pick the game. You're born into it and have to play it. But you're still allowed to criticize the game. We are short term resource exploiters. Logically we have almost no ability to think beyond our own lifetimes.
@sweatystartup@remymorthier@realEstateTrent Super good point. The answer is that less people are happy now. They're all specialists who have to work endlessly to own a bunch of stuff they don't actually need. And they're saying they're unhappy. Your argument is that they have more stuff
@sweatystartup Lol. This guy's having a tough time being told people are unhappy. He keeps insisting they have it the best anyone has ever had it. Lots of coping in these posts from Nick.
@ideaeconomy@stevegarthwaite@sweatystartup@realEstateTrent It's what they want because it's all they know. They don't have time to fix things because they're all specialists. They've only got time to do their job....and none to live their life.
@DividendDaddy1@theficouple Your friends can buy homes at slightly lower prices from here with same rate. Most likely scenario. No crash. No decline rates.
@pacoccino@theficouple@KBrasil9 Won't do it even then. Home prices decline slowly, energy and food inflation stays the same or even goes up. Rates settle north of 5%.
@theficouple@KBrasil9 No crash. Slow decline coupled with interest rates not going down at all because inflation in energy and food stays put or rises.
@theficouple They aren't going to drop. Lol. Home prices will drop. Or they'll stagnate. Interest rates aren't going down even when that happens. Think about what will hurt the most people the most, and realize that is always on the table.
@theficouple Maybe I'm wrong. The issue here that I see is that you're so sure of your self. Anything can happen. Assuming that this one stat tells the whole story is probably a mistake.
@nick23b@mortgagetruth Rates gonna stay higher. Housing market declines...but energy prices won't. Plenty of prices won't. Can't just drop rates cause housing prices start sliding.
