@ScotNational There is a greater chance of Nicola sturgeon being an alien sent to sample human culture than there is of parliament granting holyrood the unilateral right to break up the country.
@RideoutTim@Strathavenbear Do you seriously think the U.K would allow Scotland to leave without taking on any debt? You mad, if you refuse your getting fat tarrifs and starting independence defaulting on your debt. Youโll be begging to rejoin in a month.
@HighwaySqueak@MikeStewart79@RhunapIorwerth Sub groups of the British people have absolutely no right to independence or self determination. Youโre a sub group not a district people, you have as much right to independence as Texas, that is you have no right
The British Overseas Territories are not up for grabs
They cannot be bought, negotiated or sold
The right to self-determination exists, and must be respected
Lives depend on their functionality and security they bring
@HibernianSea@KeithMillsD7 More a nation than Ireland has ever been. Have been a united nation except thanks to British rule. Had it not been for Britain it would be a hundred squabbling Celtic microstates.
@beffybadbelly Yeah probably a whinging little blood and soil nationalist who thinks a tiny peninsula of the island of Great Britain is an actual country.
@Enthusiast0P@ScotNational Was a U.K. referendum not an England, Scotland, wales, NI referendum. It was a referendum on the UKโs EU membership not on the future of the U.K. stop gerrymandering.
@AnnieGlen11 @ScotNational So why couldnโt Scotโs living in England, wales and NI vote then? Typical nationalist gerrymandering to try to win support that doesnโt and never will exist.
@Golfdweeb@WilliamdeLanc12@ScotNational Scared by what the snp and other silly little separatists in wales and Northern Ireland? What will they do exactly? Nothing as always but whinge.
@definitivegazer @WullJull@ScotNational Nope the Supreme Court confirmed that only the U.K. government has that power and they arenโt going to allow it.
@HibernianSea@KeithMillsD7 If the UN charter granted the unilateral independence right to ever sub national region or ethnic group there would probably be hundreds and hundreds of tiny squabbling countries. No region has any right to independence at all.
@HibernianSea@KeithMillsD7 Only applies to far flung colonies, separated from the mainland by blue water, in other words vast oceans. Look it up if you donโt believe me. No where in the UN charter does it say component parts of member states have a unilateral right to separate from the nation.
