Did you know that Paris and Chicago are almost entirely powered by clean nuclear? 🇫🇷🇺🇸
In our #COP28 Green Zone session on clean cities, we explored how dense, livable cities pair with nuclear, and how nuclear tech that provides more than just electricity is being developed.
This was just handed out at #COP28 .
Keep in mind none of this was referenced including their false claims that “running nuclear power accident free is like a lottery”, “there is no single safe geological repository for highly radioactive nuclear waste anywhere in the world” and that “Chernobyl in 1986 has cost several hundred thousands of lives”.
The anti nuclear movement has just made their presence known at COP28.

The world's most amazing nuclear power plant 🤩
Today we visited the Barakah nuclear power plant (@ENEC_UAE) in the UAE.
After about four hours of traveling by bus into the desert, we arrived at the impressive facility.
Along for the journey we had danish national broadcaster (@tv2newsdk + @tv2echo) and 20 other nuclear power advocates, who documented the whole trip from start to finish!
The nuclear power plant will supply electricity equivalent to more than 120% of Denmark's annual electricity consumption! After ~10 years, one of the world's largest nuclear power plants is ready to deliver stable, green power, 24/7 365.
We were given a warm welcome and an in-depth tour through the control room by the proud employees, who were understandably incredibly proud of making such a large contribution to the green transition.
The UAE's nuclear power program is considered the textbook example of how a country without nuclear power can get nuclear power in 10-15 years. The UN, US, France, UK, South Korea and many more have overlooked the project from start to finish.
The world community has great confidence in the country and its future civilian use of nuclear power, which, all things being equal, is one of the most impressive projects in the green transition.
