@TrisOsborneMP@pigreen1 Surely if there are falling numbers of pupils due to ‘demographic cycles’, it would be better to reduce class sizes thus providing a more conducive learning environment, rather than trying to backfill the gap with nursery provision? Not sure I follow the logic here?
Hi All, the Education Not Taxation campaign needs your help! We've created a short survey to shape our next steps and would like your thoughts.
Our fight against the Government's tax has given independent school parents and supporters a collective voice. As we continue to fight VAT, we know that other issues affect you as well.
This survey is a Google Form, and responses are anonymous. We may use AI to support our analysis. Please share far and wide!
Thank you!

@cjtudor@Sum1st If the aim was not to close them, why force through the measure with such immediacy, rather than a gradual introduction allowing operating models to adjust? If to raise funds, why not a more equitable way focussed on the users of the provision rather than those who don’t?
@pinstripedline@Sandbagger_01 Quantum of Compliance - Bond, against the time pressure of year end, must complete his workstation assessment, lest he fall foul of Health & Safety (DSE) regulations.
The anticipated publication of the UK's Defence Investment Plan will represent the most significant sovereign demand in a generation. How that signal is read, and by whom, will shape the quality of the investment decisions that follow.

The Armoured Brigade is one of the critical areas where #NATO’s Force Lethality Enhancement #FLE is delivering its first evidence-driven push to strengthen combat power, survivability, and speed on the battlefield.

@CrosspoolClaret@EducationNotTax@KarlTurnerMP Your point on future voters, in my opinion, is entirely valid. I was a recipient of an assisted place, and have benefited from that (which I turned into service to this country). The removal of the opportunity for others by Labour has certainly impacted my voting intentions.

@jennosj1972@ChainSchema@AndrewBeckett@BellaWallerstei No, if it’s about fairness: apply to all or none. Why not place a levy on state education? Household income >£45,000 & children in state ed? Pay 20% on the cost, for the betterment of the system you understand. Only an extra £1800 a year or so, pretty sure the 93% can afford it.
Of the many current affairs newsletters I receive in my inbox each morning, this is one of the few that I regularly read completely. Just the right balance of interesting, relevant, and local stories. @TheLondonMinute

@educationgovuk Remarkable that for a Dept. of Education, you do not appreciate that it is *not* the government’s money, it’s the taxpayers’ money which you are supposed to steward on our behalf. That’s the problem - you think it’s your money; it is not and you handle it with incompetence.
@Peston Hold the phone… didn’t we experience a once in a generation budget that hammered businesses and parental choice last year to clear a £20bn black hole? But we are going to experience another challenging fiscal event to rectify a £20bn black hole a year later? 🤔
