Superset is now Paradev: The code editor that helps engineers run armies of coding agents.
We just raised an $11.5M Seed round led by @usv with @ycombinator to redefine how software is written.
Sending a cake to someone's office has become a new trend in SF to sell them your product.
Not sure it's the most effective strategy if: 1. you can't tell who sent it and 2. it looks like it's made out of plastic ๐
@hectorserrranoo Shows how much money is floating around right now. Weโve seen some absurd rates quoted for some of our clients. Definitely seems like working with smaller creators is the way to go, if youโre going to go that route.
Talked to an AI team making 600 to 800 creator ads a month. What I'd add to Hector's playbook:
1. Mix creator sizes. They run two tiers: lots of cheaper UGC creators for volume, and top tech creators for polished ads. Those can cost $100K+ for one short video and get booked months ahead.
2. Hire for who the creator is. Follower count barely matters once you're paying to boost. In their words: "we can boost a video with a creator with like 10,000 followers and they'll get 200 million views." A college student and a senior engineer sell the same app to different people, so the creators you pick are how you test personas.
3. Keep briefs loose. They say there's "no correlation at all" between the videos they like and the ones that perform. Their brief is basically "this is the product, this is what we want to hit on."
@hectorserrranoo Do you think that price is ever justified for creators or a hold over of pricing for followers?
Agree that for an ad that price doesnโt make sense, it was more so in the context of creator marketing generally
@pederzh@manufact It's going to be table stakes for apps to be available through Claude and ChatGPT. I'm excited to try using Manufact to get Beluga on there! Congrats on the launch.
Starting today, any company can scale creator marketing like paid ads with Beluga (@trybeluga).
Creators can outperform paid channels 3-5x. But scaling ads takes budget, and scaling creators takes headcount.
Beluga handles sourcing, negotiation, contracts, and payments, so you just set the budget.
