@RichAndPowe7ful@WardenbofBeach@NoblestCalling 50F is about perfect for sports and manual labor.
The 100% is like an engine redline, its possible to go over but you'll start taking damage.
@Empty_America Oh I see, so clearly The Word is saying we should gather all the smartest, most talented people from all the nations into one polity and have them focus on money making, because that's what it means to be a good Christian neighbor?
@StefanMolyneux If you read this Stef: Go out into the woods at night or some other quiet yet wild place. Be alone, and be still for a time, and think of your ancestors, and say and dwell upon the words of the Lord's Prayer.
The Dead Sea Scrolls. Lost for 500 years before the oldest Christian Bibles (~300 Bc vs ~200 Ad). Christians used Aramaic, then Greek, and Latin. Not Hebrew. And it was a largely poor, populist movement with little institutional access compared to the Hebrew users.
But which texts did the Dead Sea Scrolls closely match? The Christian ones.
@StefanMolyneux The Bible doesn't say God has no prior cause. It says he is the Alpha and the Omega, which among other layers of possible meaning, could be a statement that God is the beginning and end of our universe. The War in Heaven narrative implies Heaven can(has) change(d) significantly.
@JohnnyIronny@Rainmaker1973 The frog probably hopped in a jar by itself, somebody found out in there, and then later on that jar lasted longer than others
@brotherjeff777@histories_arch God's Word tells us that he speaks in parables, and he does so often. An honest and humble reader of Genesis will recognize that it is filled with metaphor and symbolic writing, and that it is incoherent to interpret what we are told as literal step-by-step history.
@StefanMolyneux Yes Stefan, it makes sense that it would be part of a good and wise God's plan that in general there will be no definite proof of his existence. The purpose of mortality is to test and grow our morality, and not our capacity to suck up to and conform to power.
@BasedTorba Nothing has happened that was not in accordance with God's plan. It is His will that Adam and Eve and all of their descendants shall eat of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil all of the days of our lives.
I have been imprecise and impatient in my speech, and I am ready to repent for that. Are you ready to repent for disrespecting the mother of our Lord, as you do when you say "she has no part in my rel. w/ Jesus"? Do you believe in this thing or not? Imagine saying that to one's spouse or a close friend. As I said before, that would only be a healthy and valid thing if she was a poor mother who deserved to be excluded. That is the implication of the Prot position on Mary.
@outcomethinking@StefanMolyneux Objective virtue, which can be known, as all truths, through reason and evidence. Which is why honesty is the first virtue.
@MakimaRespecter Lol no. If you actually think this you are just a dishonest man who chooses self-delusion because it improves your chances with the pretty girls. And it's also something shallow manipulative men would say, to improve their chances with the pretty girls.
@StevenStocks5@oliverburdick It is exactly what you said. If you have a personal relationship with someone, you will know about the other people who are important in their life. If you don't know or care about those other important people, it isn't a personal relationship.
@StevenStocks5@oliverburdick "Jesus I don't care about your mom, this is just about you and me"
That's what you are saying. Remember that Jesus is fully human. If Mary was a bad mother, your stance might be justified. Is that what you think? Do you think Jesus likes that you think that about his mother?
