@SoxAndTalk Braves fan here. Good read. When I was a kid I hated the Yankees for 1996, so I naturally gravitated to the Red Sox as a team I liked more than most. I don’t get the “rivalry” thing either, but for the most part I wish you guys well when we’re not playing!
@CJNitkowski@CJNitkowski couldn’t agree more! Byrdie is a class act and so well respected among our clubhouse. These are encouraging words to us players to not put pressure on ourselves to be anyone that we aren’t! That’s why this team is special, no egos just team mentality!
@THEREAL_DV Plenty of teams use a 6 man rotation and figure it out. If he pitches he should be counted as a pitcher. I don’t know why this is so controversial.
@CJNitkowski Yeah, it’s not really that hard. If you want to use him as a pitcher he should be counted as a pitcher. If they want to shut him down and strictly use him as a DH, then he doesn’t count as a pitcher. I don’t know why this is so controversial.
Am I biased toward Langeliers being the best catcher in baseball? Probably. Am I right though? Probably. That said, Drake Baldwin is a BEAST. Handles the staff well. Poised & mature beyond his years at the plate. Has a recognizable approach & exudes leadership qualities. STUD!
I love Brian Snitker and am super thankful for how he’s dedicated his entire adult life to the Braves organization. This was a truly stupid move though. These kind of decisions are unacceptable.
Snitker on PH'ing Eddie Rosario for Eli White against Emilio Pagán in 9th: "This guy's got better numbers (against) right-handers. Way better. And I thought maybe Eddie could recreate some old magic."
(RHB are 1-for-29 w/ 12 Ks vs. Pagán)
