Is @bradlander a provocateur? Absolutely. Did he come looking for a spectacle to burnish his far-left credentials? Without a doubt.
Was the IDF justified in removing him from an area where an uncoordinated olive harvest was taking place? Yes. But did doing so play directly into his hands? Also yes (just google his name and see the number of articles all over the world).
We can argue all day that Lander was wrong and Israel was right, but that misses the point. In his political circles, he is now the victim of Israeli aggression, which is exactly the image he came looking for. Israel should have known better than to give him what he wanted.
How Israel has redrawn the map of one corner of the Middle East, since Hamas' deadly October 7 terrorist attack.
Take a deep dive into the results of our months of painstaking analysis and speaking to the communities on the ground.

The term “Shylock” is rooted in a longstanding antisemitic stereotype. Regardless of intent, its use can reinforce harmful tropes about Jews and normalize language that has long been used to target the Jewish community.
U.S. Ambassador to Türkiye Tom Barrack:
Very little antisemitism, even in the region. The Jews existed side by side forever.
Zionism in '48 became another issue.
A “senior Syrian official” tells @Jerusalem_Post’s @AmichaiStein1 that the Syrian government fears that an Israeli-backed Druze offensive in Sweida may be imminent. https://t.co/FVwur9hPdz
@NswPeter@timrobinson81 Most democracies have equality under the law.
Gazan and WB Palestinians would love to return to their homes and be citizens instead of stateless but Israel won’t let them. Not even if their spouse is a citizen.
The idea that radicalisation in Palestine is primarily driven by school books over the experience of children having immediate family jailed/killed etc is so naïve.
The reason we now have peace in Nth Ireland/Sth Africa etc is not because they changed their syllabus.
These books shown were seized from schools in Gaza during the war. The material raises a question every plan for Gaza’s future must confront: how do you undo years of indoctrination?
Hamas has worked to embed its ideology far beyond its armed ranks, reaching children who should have been protected from it. That influence will survive the destruction of tunnels and the confiscation of weapons unless there is a sustained effort to challenge what children are taught.
Gaza needs demilitarisation and deradicalisation. Rebuilding schools while leaving the teaching of hatred intact would help prepare the ground for another war. Palestinian children deserve the chance to grow up without being groomed to fight it.
Some people want me to believe that those looters, good guys, and people like this lady are the villains! I always believed that no matter what your cause once you start looting you already lost, period
I just called Washington Post photographer Heidi Levine, who was brutally attacked by violent rioters on Friday.
As President of the State of Israel, I strongly condemn this outrageous and shocking violence, both the terrible attack on Heidi and other grave incidents of violence, such as what took place today in Taybeh.
I expressed my deepest sorrow to Heidi and apologized for what she went through.
The despicable behavior of the perpetrators of this attack does not represent the citizens or the values of the State of Israel.
Israel is a democratic state governed by the rule of law, and it must act with full force against every form of violence. Each incident is being thoroughly investigated, and we await the findings.
All government, security, and law enforcement authorities must use every means at their disposal to investigate thoroughly, apprehend these lawbreakers, and bring them to justice with the fullest extent of the law.
On behalf of the entire nation, I wish Heidi good health and a speedy recovery.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz on Lebanon:
Look at what is happening in Lebanon.
Today, more than 60 villages in southern Lebanon, beginning with those adjacent to the border, and beyond that, throughout the entire security zone up to the Yellow Line, an area of 700 square kilometers, are destroyed.
All the villages have been wiped out. Twenty-three thousand houses, all destroyed, demolished.
I am not even talking about what is underground, about the tunnels. Everything has been destroyed.
There are no residents there. Two hundred thousand residents are outside.
This is the Gaza model. And this is the model we are implementing.
@NswPeter@timrobinson81 No. I am saying all should be treated the same way by the law and receive equal protection without arbitrary discrimination. People can choose to - or not to - observe Halakhah/Sharia/Fiqh, but not in contradiction of this overriding principle.
