I actually don't blame Matty one bit. It's not really about people making fun of a game, it's about what that often turns into in most online spaces. During larger event type streams, divisiveness EASILY turns into toxicity which kills the vibe of a community.

It doesn't even matter what Matty's personal opinions are. Whether he agrees or disagrees with one side. It becomes toxic regardless which is not an enjoyable (nor nuanced) environment to be hosting.

It's not good for your core audience members, nor is it a good look or representation of your community to newcomers. Matty doesn't owe these streams to anyone. Right on for turning that shit off of the vibe was extremely negative.
