My wife lost her job as a branch manager, her income and her reputation when a franchised branch sacked her for "Gross Misconduct" because of a shortfall, she was questioned by the police, and the police found no evidence of any theft.
My wife lost her "Employment Tribunal" because the "Chair" believed that the "Post Office" was honest and credible. Despite the Audit Manager of McColls saying he did not know how to complete a branch audit.
My wife withdrew into herself, for 2 years did not go shopping, certainly did not go to the school gates to pick our children up, did not go to school sports days, or Christmas plays.
We lost my wife's Mum during this time, so whilst she knew in her heart her daughter was innocent, my wife is still having bouts of sadness, that her Mum did not see this.
This affected many more than just sub-postmasters

Total dismantling of Sunak's honesty and credibility.
If her allegations of bad faith, no plan B on boats etc cannot be convincingly denied then one must suspect we've all been getting conned for a full year.
Please back @andreajenkyns - she has bravely set out her case and is right. Party faces disaster. Time for letters MPs - Do this or Die. https://t.co/wiKVYZ5rHB
@scullyp@RichardMoorhead The PO/Horizon scandal is about vested interests & cover-ups. Establishment complicity by silence & even by REGULATED LAWYERS, occurred at multiple levels.

As Postal Affairs minister, definitely the best thing I'll ever do in politics was to start the statutory inquiry into the Horizon scandal and begin the long road for the original 555 postmasters to get compensation...
@stugoo17@PostOffice Simple answer - each lawyer is personally responsible for compliance with professional code of conduct imposed by the SRA - no hiding behind any corporate or partnership shield - no "I was only following orders" defence. @GouldsBlog
Former Post Office lawyer on remote access “another sad example of how things were concealed”. Seems v close to agreeing there was a criminal conspiracy to pervert the course of justice at her place of work. Thanks for highlighting @stugoo17
Sadly I completely understand that fear. Corporate change is laughable. Having been outed the hard work of fear generation and bullying looks to have moved to a covert operation. Say all the right things publicly whilst protection and persecution seems to be running wild!
I am delighted for @ElCShaikh on this recognition of such amazing investigative work, she has so selflessly and fearlessly carried on for a moral good against a dark force of injustice.
She is a masterclass when it comes to Freedom of Information ‼️
This week we will hear from former @PostOffice Lawyer DEBBIE STAPEL and external Counsel WARWICK TATFORD. Both were involved in the prosecution of CARL PAGE .
This is CARL'S harrowing story - it is yet another shocking read 😡
