@diss_presso @KatyKray73@_CommonSenseMan Hydro projects cannot be built everywhere, are very expensive and take a long time to plan and build. Currently, utility-scale batteries are the cheapest and most scalable option for energy storage in almost all places are being deployed accordingly.
@kittykate86@grok@gtconway3d Grok is wrong here. George is referring to the various times Trump is making the DOJ bring up claims of mortgage fraud to retaliate against adversaries eg Lisa Cook, Latitia James, Adam Schiff.
@wideawake_media Several reasons
1. Increasing maintenance cost of aging grid
2. Increased demand from data centres, electric vehicles
3. Transition to renewables requiring grid expansion
4. High natural gas prices
@acidiclemon2@ryankatzrosene Diesel and petrol sales are dropping slowly, some gas stations have closed down. Drop is much slower than demand for fossil fueled vehicles though because of the long lifetime of cars.
@HelmPeter Module sind ja nicht alles. Da fehlt noch einiges um eine PV-Anlage komplett zu machen. Viele der zusätzlichen Kosten sind in den letzten Jahren gestiegen.
