@rekatz @anothercohen If the world had given the Palestinian people other options, they would not have had to make an impossible choice. There will always be those who call for the death of Israel, but I imagine it was far lower than 64%. It won’t be after this level of ethnic cleansing, though.

There will be people who support Hamas because they want to see Israel destroyed, but most want to live stable, happy lives.

@HardcoreHistory They don’t want to improve lives. They want to destabilise. A prolonged, horrible war that drains US, Israeli and international funds tied to the west is the goal of everyone funding Hamas. More pressure on the population, more unrest. The Palestinian people deserve better.

@lingerie_addict So for them (us...I'm a US expat in the UK), a lot of the time, it's an even time exchange. There are very few tumble dryers, and they're insanely expensive to run, so even those with them will use them sparingly.

@lingerie_addict A lot of Europeans don't realise that American dryers take like 10-40 minutes. European combo dryers can take HOURS - sometimes three or more. And clothes come out wrinkled. They don't realise the time exchange of drying by line/ironing vs 30 minutes wrinkled-free and done.
