Who is requisitioning these tests? Does a high lipoprotein(a) result affect further treatment of the patient?
These are some of the questions I will address. Join me at the “Lipoprotein(a) (2)” session at Station 10 on Sunday for insightful discussions!

Presenting my ePoster at #ESC25 in Madrid on Sunday 15.15-16.00!🫀
Lipoprotein(a) testing remains uncommon worldwide, despite its clinical relevance in cardiovascular disease development. However, Norway is a pioneer in lipoprotein(a) testing globally. Why is this the case?
Grateful for the opportunity to attend the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions 2024 and present findings from our study in Chicago. With growing interest in Lp(a) science and promising new therapies on the horizon, conferences like #AHA24 are invaluable.@American_Heart
"Lipoprotein(a) and cardiovascular disease" review published today in The Lancet: 50 days' free access: https://t.co/XA7NPFYwpz
Please share and resend for others to download. Bottom line: measure Lp(a) in all once in a lifetime and stay tuned for coming Lp(a)-lowering therapy!
While majority of individuals had low levels of Lp(a), Roche assay detected 20% more individuals with Lp(a)>50 mg/dL, 40% more individuals with Lp(a) >100 mg/dL and 80% more individuals with Lp(a)>180 mg/dL than the currently used Siemens assay https://t.co/lAMhLLs9Sq
In this real-world study involving 185,493 individuals, we observed that transitioning from one Lp(a) immunoassay to another affected the proportion of individuals with Lp(a) levels above clinical thresholds.
Final version is now available online!

Important paper showing how changes in assay methodologies can alter the number of individuals identified as exceeding crucial clinical thresholds for Lp(a) levels. #lipidology#lipids#lipoprotein#atherosclerosis
Our research paper titled "Real-world impact of transitioning from one lipoprotein(a) assay to another in a clinical setting" is now online published as journal preproof!

and being involved in scientific discussions. It was such a warm, supportive and collegial athmosphere to take part of. Thankful for everyone who made this research visit possible. Heading back to Oslo with a bag full of memories and a wiser self🫀

Grateful for my one-month visit to professor Børge Nordestgaard’s @BNordestgaard research group at Herlev hospital in Copenhagen. Been a fan of their research on Lp(a) since I first started doing research 1,5 years ago. Honoured to meet the scientists in this research group,

Attended #ESCCongress2023 and presented my first international poster last week! Exciting to meet and discuss our project and findings on Lipoprotein(a) with brilliant scientists from international communities🫀
I am standing for President-Elect of the European Atherosclerosis Society (EAS). Please vote before June 30! Link: https://t.co/Br77NkPF82 @society_eas
Participated in my first international research conference with Scandinvian Society of Atherosclerosis #SSAR this week. A warm atmosphere to take part of as a young researcher, and lots of interesting discussions. Until next time!
