My brother & I booked a Budapest hotel for the UCL final back in Nov, ticket or not. Can’t go anymore, so selling at FV (£1k). Hotel prices are mad now so hoping to help a Gooner out. DM for details. All legit, @fkhanage@WaynesWorld20_ can vouch for me @AFCAMDEN@GeoffArsenal
Two things bother me about the narrative building around Arsenal.
First, we're told constantly that the Premier League is the most competitive league in the world. Fine. So what does it mean to be consistently fighting for the title in that environment? You can't celebrate the league's brutal competitiveness and then dismiss sustained title challenges as not good enough. Pick one.
Second, and IMO this matters more, failure in elite sport is not losing. Luis Enrique said it. Many others have said versions of it. Failure is not trying again. It's accepting the ceiling. It's going through the motions. Arteta has never done that. Every setback has been fuel for the next attempt.
The problem is social media runs on binary outcomes. Win or fail. Hero or fraud. No room for nuance. No room for the manager who rebuilt a club into genuine title contenders and is still hungry for more.
Simeone has been at Atlético for over a decade. Two league titles, two Champions League finals. Still no European Cup. Nobody serious calls that failure. They call it one of the great managerial tenures in modern football. And I'm convinced that given 14 years like Simeone, Mikel will win more leagues than him.
Arteta may or may not win the league this year. He may not lift the Champions League this year or next. But as long as he keeps pushing, keeps trying, keeps competing at this level, failure isn't what this is.
Find another name for it
By the way, if City wins the league, the achievement would of course be enormous.
Points won last 5 League games:
Arsenal: 12
Man City: 11
Points won last 10 League games:
Arsenal: 20
Man City: 21
Points won last 20 League games:
Arsenal: 41
Man City: 42
Arsenal aren't playing particularly well right now, but the level of panic online is crazy to me!
🚨Well respected journalist Guillem Balague speaking on Arsenal… I couldn’t have said it any better!
The quadruple Arsenal talk started in January if not before.
That's setting an impossible bar that's been reached never in English football history.
If they win the Premier League, that IS a massive success. Reaching the Champions League quarter-finals, on the back of the semis last year, IS success. They are growing.
Comparing them to the greatest sides in history and then criticise them every time they fall short, more than holding them to high standards, is in my opinion just a way to deny them credit for what they're actually achieving.
Having said that, the defeat to Southampton is certainly a disappointment.
Both statements are true.
🚨 BREAKING: NIGEL FARAGE PLEDGES TO CUT FOREIGN AID BY 70% AND STRIP ALL FOREIGN NATIONALS OF BENEFITS 🇬🇧
THIS WOULD BE ABSOLUTELY GROUNDBREAKING AND WOULD SAVE THE UK BILLIONS AND BILLIONS EACH YEAR❗️
DO YOU SUPPORT THIS MOVE FROM NIGEL FARAGE❓️
No need to raise income tax, @RachelReevesMP !
Britain’s tax burden is the highest since WW2 — yet the country is crumbling.
The problem isn’t too little tax, it’s too much waste.
Cut the following:
Carbon capture – £9.4bn
Net Zero – £30bn
Foreign aid (halve it) – £7bn
Migrant accommodation – £4bn
Total saved: £50.7bn
That’s 7.3% off the basic rate of income tax!
Stop taxing Britain to death.
Start cutting the waste.

NEW: STARMER’S DIGITAL ID BACKLASH ERUPTS
Even Labour MPs are panicking.
Number 10 is holding private Zoom calls trying to “win them round” to Starmer’s digital ID plan — and it’s backfiring spectacularly. MPs are fuming, calling it a “reverse Midas touch.”
Why? Because Britain doesn’t want it.
Two-thirds of voters reject digital ID.
Nearly 3 million have signed petitions against it.
It was never in Labour’s manifesto.
This isn’t policy — it’s globalist coercion dressed as convenience.
Starmer says it will “make life easier.” Translation? Comply or pay £85 every time you need to prove who you are.
He’s not talking about safety. He’s talking about control.
Britain didn’t fight tyranny for centuries just to be scanned like barcodes.
We’re not lab rats in a digital experiment.
We are a free people — and we must stay that way. 🇬🇧
In this clip Sadiq Khan arrogantly pretended he didn't know what grooming gangs are.
There is now evidence this was a lie.
The man is morally repugnant.
Petition: *DO NOT INTRODUCE DIGITAL ID CARDS*
An Incredible 185,820 signatures already!
Signed. This MUST NOT be allowed to happen!

I see that govt is once again spreading that old myth "This government has secured £104 billion of private sector investment to improve our water infrastructure nationwide."
Patently, blatantly and demonstrably untrue.
1. Water companies submitted their draft business plans to @Ofwat 9 MONTHS BEFORE THE ELECTION on 2nd Oct 2023.
It was those business plans that included £96 billion of so called investment. It was then for Ofwat to scrutinise, review and approved the final versions of those plans. It was that review process which borough the total spend up to £104 billion. Nothing whatsoever to do with govt.
2. Nor is there any "private sector investment" it's coming straight out of your pocket, that's why water bills have gone up on average by 36% this year. Once again nothing whatsoever to do with govt.
No doubt ministers will be keen to set the record straight.
