@MartinSLewis Hi Martin, great show on ITV 1. Would I still be entitled to compensation if I had 3 to 4 interest free PCP (over 12!yrs) with one of the car finance firm?
📈According to this week's @transportgovuk figures, rail passenger numbers were 92-93% of pre-pandemic levels every day from 11-19 June.
It is clear that people want to travel by train. We should be planning for a bigger and better rail network, not a declining one.

Great boost for UK economy during the build phase. Don’t forget the maintenance period post delivery and operations, this would also be a great enabler and contributor for the service sector.
Awarding this £2bn contract to @HitachiRailENG and @Alstom to build our state-of-the-art HS2 trains is a landmark moment in this vital programme, and a huge boost to the NE and Midlands, supporting 2,500 jobs across County Durham, Derby and Crewe 🚄👇

#HS2’s 225mph high-speed trains will be built by @AlstomUK and @HitachiRailENG. The joint venture will build a fleet of 54 trains at factories in County #Durham, #Derby and #Crewe, supporting 2,500 #jobs. Click for more news about the #trains: https://t.co/sYpKxJJ4sO
@Rail_Elec@NoelDolphin Whilst I agree with the opening fact about rail being a better and greener mode of transport - electrification of the full network by 2050 may be challenging based on costs and time. Hence partial electrification with use of battery and hybrid trains would be one of the answers!
This is brilliant! British built trains at Newton Aycliffe in the North East with £110m invested in manufacturing skills at @HitachiRailENG 🚆 County Durham
This is a major #levelup2021 boost for apprenticeships, jobs & skills in NE & across the country

The announcement from Hitachi Rail means it will become one of the first companies to benefit from the chancellor’s 130 per cent tax “super-deduction” for investment in new plant and machinery unveiled in the budget https://t.co/LjTSL9vrpT
Hitachi Rail delivered the UK’s first and only high speed train fleet, the Class 395 ‘Javelin’, which runs at up to 140mph on the #HS1 line - so it's great to see our colleagues @HitachiPG delivering innovative technologies for sustainable transport along the route! #TeamHitachi
Great team work and further collaboration between UKPN Services and Hitachi ABB Power Grids. Ensuring a safe and reliable transport infrastructure network.
The new Rail Technical Strategy is released. Yes, strategies are great. However, we also need projects here & now to meet our long term goals. We call on DfT & Network Rail to commence 'no regrets' electrification projects now.
