Australia’s public sector now employs nearly 18 out of every 100 workers, 2.6 million people across federal, state and local government (ABS). A decade ago it was 12.5%. Japan, with an older population, runs on roughly 5%.

This public sector is Australia's "deep state" a policy apparatus unaffected by elections and who is in government.

These public-service employees live in the same European-style progressive enclaves as their counterparts overseas.

From those insulated circles, they assume they can direct Australian society along the “prudent” policy pathways they prefer.

They differentiate themselves morally from the broader population. They don't particularly care what ordinary Australians think. Over time their ideas have become more extreme:

The end of the Israeli state

The ability for a young child to select their gender

Very high immigration rates that are transforming and diluting the historic cultural and demographic character of the country

Magical beliefs that climate change can be avoided through rapid domestic decarbonisation, whatever the cost

Treaty, co-governance, and educating children in a selective history of national shame that frames Australia as an illegitimate settler-colonial state

This is not neutral public service. It is a permanent administrative class increasingly confident that its moral framework is superior to the people who pay its salaries and live with the consequences.

The next political imperative is to shrink this totalitarian "nanny state " of the morally superior. We need to reduce public service employees by at least half; if we don't, they will literally destroy the country via policy ideas

"Anthony Albanese has announced a series of agreements struck with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including a deal to green light billions of dollars worth of Australian uranium exports to India.

"Today we can confirm the signing of the administrative arrangement to enable uranium exports to India for peaceful purposes under the 2015 Australia, India, nuclear co-operation agreement," the Prime Minister said.

"The arrangement facilitates Australian uranium exports to India to help increase the share of non-fossil fuel power capacity, providing an additional market for the Australian resources sector."
