@LPDonovan@mattyglesias Nothing about it looks fun or cool. Why would I believe his involvement here would be anything other than self-serving. At the same time, he’s taken over a local golf course to build a vanity project and proposed to build an ugly arch that will distort the Mall.
@chrislhayes@SeanTrende Also, modern evangelicalism has shown itself to be the most hypocritical political faction in the country. Which is saying a lot! There is no act however unchristian that a right wing politician could ever do that would undermine support from evangelicals.
@jeff36779606 We don’t give a fuck about him. He’s completely irrelevant right now. Maybe he should take all that money and pay for some lessons so he make a cut in a major.
@kevsaucebro@FeverPotomac@wmataGM Fare paying is essential to maintaining a high trust society. We tried not enforcing fares on Metro, and it led to a noticeable decline in service quality and increased antisocial behavior. $2.50 is an eminently reasonable price for the service that WMATA provides.
@jamescolgan26@KVanValkenburg Even taking the politics out of it, you know this course is going to suck. The quote about Ross and Tillinghast is an all-timer.
@rjsmith265At@Luke_Elvy Lee criticizes players who accomplished a hell of a lot more than he did. Spare me the fake outrage. He’s also one of the biggest chokers in major championship history. If he wants to dish it out, he should be able to take it back. Stop being so thin skinned.
@discoque92 So true. Sherm was given an impossible task taking over partial play calling midseason. Snyder and his media cronies took every opportunity to throw that coaching staff under the bus. He deserved more respect but of course Snyder was incapable of that.
@MattVincenziPGA He missed the cut in 6 consecutive majors. He hasn’t won on LIV in 3 seasons. I think it was pretty fair to ask what the hell happened? It’s so weird how you are ready to bag on PGA players but not hold LIV to the same standard. I thought LIV was elevating the game?
@ProGolfCritic He’s dead last around the green using 6 iron length wedges and it’s low IQ to ask if that’s the problem? Also, it is exactly like him. He had the same issue at the Masters and the US Open. You have the Low IQ take as usual.
@jamierkennedy@BrentleyGC What are you talking about? Players scored well without putting well. Driving accuracy and approach proximity were also heavily rewarded yesterday. It wasn’t just mindless golf until the green. Cherry picking Potgieter’s round (which was an outlier) is lazy.
@jamierkennedy Such a lazy take. Putting should be emphasized. The course is asking interesting questions on the greens. Smalley, Potgieter and Jaeger did clean up putting, but Xander, Min Woo Lee, Koepka all scored well without putting well. Plenty of variety.
@daniel_schiff@SecretaryBurgum Doak was already restoring the course to its original Walter Travis design for FREE! How much is Fazio charging for this cookie cutter, historically insignificant BS?
@SecretaryBurgum This looks like dog shit. There’s literally no reason for it to be 7,600 yards. Reducing from a 36 hole facility to 18 holes is criminal.
@DCPoliceUnion I honestly don’t care about this dispute, but DC’s population isn’t even 700,000. Stop lying. It is indisputable that DC spends more on Police than any other city in the country. Some of that is inevitable due to unique security requirements.
@BrendanDarr It’s about resource allocation. They spent 2nd round picks on CB in each of the last two drafts. Nothing on Edge. Josephs was clearly the best value on the board at the time. Not hard to see that they need a developmental Edge more than CB.
