@jaredhmoore@2DLARBN To push back a wee little bit - ANY inclination that leads to lust is lust? I can't agree. We all have inclinations, having been born in sin. What do you DO with it? Take it captive and choose not to respond or act on it. I just don't see that our inclinations = sin in themselves
@2DLARBN@jaredhmoore Lol - your last line!! True.
I'm not PCA so was wondering how they for from "original sin and its motions" to "SSA identity". I didn't know what O15 was, so thanks. I assume they're points of clarification.
100% - our sin cannot be our identity - we are children of God.
@2DLARBN@jaredhmoore I'm actually in complete agreement w/you. Attraction, tho, isn't lust. Your post says (validly) that it excludes from office when it becomes their identity. What if it's not their "identity" but just a non-lustful desire.
(Also pls explain "celibate adulterer" - those conflict)
@janeelisabethh I've tried to explain this to my wife, but she doesn't smell what I'm smelling! My favorite Christmas cookies don't taste the same and...hey...what's that smell??? So "good" to know I'm not alone.
@danitreweek@cajunemus I read the entire thread that you RT'ed and didn't see anything that sounded like some was greater or more as you said. Where is that?
@AdamPage85 Aw @AdamPage85 -"I want to think the best...but I can't..."
Just think the best and let God do the rest. You be known for believing the best. There's ALWAYS something you don't know. Believe the best.
@janeelisabethh Agreed. Fortunately, your followers have (hopefully) seen that this isn't ALL of Christianity. You've got a lot of friend-followers who know, empathize, and understand.
I, for one.
@janeelisabethh Favorite words...
"...the Lord has done some wondrous redemption of our story..."
May He continue to redeem and surprise you richly in the coming months!
@ndrewwhitehead Thanks so much for this. As a Christian, once you've experienced this, you're (hopefully) aware of the impact brightsiding can have. Oh, to just come alongside and BE with the person. That's been my desire as I've grown. Weep with those who weep. Time for lament is okay!!
