Hi - Harvard alumnus here from HES. My degree, believe it or not, is from Harvard. Doesn’t even say HES. HES is one of the 12 degree granting institutions at Harvard. Harvard college is merely 1 of the 12. HES has been around since 1910 as a way for those working full time to still better themselves through higher education. HES may offer many online degrees, but all require some form of residency. Every one of my professors, bar two (Stanford and Vassar), were Harvard faculty members.

I also served as a Harvard Global Ambassador during my time at Harvard. It is the elitist mentality, like yours, that looks down on students who can study at Harvard and hold down a full time job at the same time. The graduation rate for HES students, with a full degree, is less than 1%. Many take classes, very few finish degrees. Why? Because they don’t lower the standard.
