Author/therapist/feeding researcher/ Senior Lecturer (mat leave) @bgulincoln My mission:helping parents & professionals give kids a great relationship with food
From my new paper in the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior, co-authored with Katja Rowell MD (@EPEhelp ) and Gianina Postavaru PhD. Access the full text via this link (valid until 28th July) https://t.co/7gIt8V8LSJ #SDT#ARFID#pickyeating#RFT#Responsivefeeding
We hope it will be a really useful tool for researchers and clinicians working with #pickyeating and #ARFID. Thanks so much. Here is the link to take part: https://t.co/BgzfjWavJ5 @wiasnofficial @PsycWellbeing@HC_Wolstenholme 3/3
Can you support recruitment for this study, either by sharing or participating yourself, if you meet the criteria? Any parent (anywhere in the world) of a child aged 2-12 yrs can take part. 1/3
The study involves an online survey which takes up to 45 minutes to complete. We’re developing and validating a measure of parental anxiety in the context of child feeding (FAM). 2/3
It’s not about sleep or memory but we’re developing a fascinating tool about parents’ anxieties about feeding their children. Please consider participating - thanks!

The government have very quietly suspended the Schools Fruit & Veg Scheme this week. For some children that may be the only piece of fresh fruit and veg they eat all day bar school meals. Would like more reasoning behind this @DHSCgovuk@Helen_Whately#SFVS
@futurebehaviour@futurebehaviour great question! Interested in why you're asking as I specialise in language used around food in educational settings...
Remember that the power of no is extremely important! Allowing children to maintain bodily autonomy leads to less stressful mealtimes and an improved relationship with food. And we could all use less stress right now!
Is your child impossible to get to the table? Do they leave often during meals? Check for pressure- no one likes to be examined during every bite. Follow the Division of Responsibility at meals and everyone will be happier!
I'm recruiting PhD student to work on @GeminiResearch dietary data (2 & 7 yrs) to study links btwn early diet, weight gain trajectories & food preferences, & genetic & environmental contributions to dietary intake & change/stability in intake. Pls RT: https://t.co/IYAYjLSgsv
@ClaireBaseley Haha! I worry about the demonisation of any food category / group... it is never that simple. And the parents I work with often have kids who can only eat a few foods... sometimes these are processed. I feel sad to think they are being shamed for this.
