“Antichrist” doesn’t just mean against Christ. It means in place of Christ.
Silicon Valley promises AI will give us wisdom, heal our bodies, end scarcity, watch over us, and grant eternal life. Sound familiar?
Joe Allen (@JOEBOTxyz), author of Dark Aeon, on AI as Antichrist at our latest event in Nashville.

TECH HALLUCINATIONS — AI Psychosis is the New Acid Casualty
Tuesday, Oct. 27 | Butterworth's
Doors at 6pm. My talk starts 7pm.
Psychedelic drugs were a heady inspiration for tech culture. Over the years, we learned Steve Jobs was dropping acid. We heard Timothy Leary riffing on the internet. We had Terrence McKenna tapping the hallucinatory space for visions of our coming transhuman future.
Today, artificial intelligence is a total head trip. Early AI-generated images resemble the dream-like scenes any psychedelic user would be familiar with. As more and more people begin to converse with chatbots in intimate ways—sometimes losing the distinction between digital outputs and their own thoughts—it's clear that AI psychosis is the new acid casualty.
Join us for a sobering romp through the psychedelic origins of digital technology.

There seems to be a hunger out there for an, er, richer conversation about alternatives to UBI. Here's the full @MTSlive interview we did on the subject: https://t.co/PYxwvKVLvt
@LarryLeperchaun As it happens, they are also the nation with the biggest enthusiasm for RFID chips in the palm.
Not sure if there is a connection, other than a curious juxtaposition.
Small world.
They say you're doomed if you don't adopt AI—that there's no hope for those who refuse—then call you a hopeless "doomer" for saying that sounds like a threat.

AI won't save the world. AI won't destroy the world.
It will make certain tasks easier (none I am interested in).
It will make certain things suck more than they already did, like pop slop.
AI will be an unwelcome character in a boring story.
Take that prediction to the bank.
Will AI control us or will we control it?

Good morning.
Everyone decided to be real weird about horror movies this week. So I wrote this little piece to ask you all to try and be normal for one second, please.
