A PA is a PA
An SHO is an SHO.

A PA does NOT become an SHO unless they then undertake a medical degree.

@drokane @AlexNevard PAs did not suddenly materialise - they have been around for 20 years - with the blessings of the then Royal Colleges.

It’s only recently when PAs are being misused (and for many reasons) that things have come to a head.

Some say that the Primary Care get well programme is to finally bring the General Practitioner in to the NHS fold proper.

@boconnorchest @drjanaway I have no direct experience of PAs in the French system - but from my research if we lose the NHS I favour the French model. Then Germany, then Taiwan - anything but the US model.

@stone3Clare Do look up what there roles can be - its not a single role - they will train in different areas. Some generic some specialists.
