@graciefacelove@slash_s1 Best move for people who work overnight is to leave the zone uptown and then loop around into the zone after midnight before going home. You pay the congestion charge only once per day. You can come in anytime later the same day and you've paid the $2.25 rate not $9.
@the_transit_guy There are legitimate reasons to eliminate tall dining structures that interfere with daylighting and other important objectives. Please educate yourself on the opposition to outdoor dining which includes many pro transit and pro congestion pricing voices.
@the_transit_guy It’s not only about parking spaces. At present, many dining structures are in horrible locations proximate to bike lanes, and run contrary to daylighting goals at intersections.
@LincolnRestler@RogerClark41 Interesting idea. However, most of the time the sweeper doesn’t even come by so honestly most drivers feel as though alternate side 2x a week is primarily a money grab by the city. This legislation without other reforms would just reinforce that belief.
@StarTrekOnPPlus@NFLonCBS This cross promotion is ridiculous. What on earth is CBS doing? The shows are horribly written, the promotion poorly targeted- can CBS please just sell the trek IP to Disney or anyone else who can manage high quality productions?
@paulee @Noted_Thanks_ @s3xynews@elonmusk@BLKMDL3@Apple@SpaceX Globalstar doesn’t have enough satellites to provide good coverage worldwide plus it’s all super low bandwidth. The Apple deal seems to be financing more launches however, this will take another 2 years before it is remotely comparable to Iridium-enabled sos messengers.
@MKBHD Globalstar, the provider they are using works horribly since their constellation is quite limited compared to iridium (which the quality trackers use).
