@roberthenryjohn They get free healthcare for the remaining (potentially decades) of their lives despite in many cases making little or no effort to maintain good health.
This is reflected in the lower pension.
@Crusty_Crouton I'd go with my Sri Lankan wife (we live half a mile away) . The tickets are far too dear, why don't they offer cheaper tickets later in the day if not full!
@BBC5tms the commentators keep saying there are tickets available, I'm an Englishman married to a Sri Lankan. We live half a mile away but the remaining tickets are so expensive, surely it'd be logical to sell the remaining tickets for a lower price.
@philsturgeon On my road in @TraffordCouncil the trees does because cars nudged then when parking on the pavement and the roots were damaged by the weight of cars on them . It's not always the councils fault.

@CanadaHawk@CoKeynesian The UK exported a lot of high quality coal because we were essentially broke. Then imported poor quality coal, hence the pea soupers in London for example.
