We need to take vitamin D by mouth to correct deficiency, which is very common. As with insulin in diabetes, the dose must achieve the target. If vitamin D 2,000units each day is taken, we should make certain that we achieve blood 40ng/ml =100nmol/L. If not, increase the dose.
