@gilgNYC@fnthawar I also noticed this and did some sleuthing. Chatrier is 1/2 as big as Arthur Ashe. I think it’s partially the camera perspective that makes the matches appear emptier.
@tobi How does the Theme Store fit into this vision? As theme partners, we'd love to know the direction Shopify is taking so we our businesses can strategically plan. Otherwise we have to read the tea leaves from posts on X.

Another theme partner moving away from the Theme Store. At https://t.co/B2HiIqWlyZ last year, Shopify pitched the redesign at an event titled 'A better, bolder Theme Store.' We were repeatedly told it was in our best interest. The redesign is devastating partner businesses. Nearly a year later, nothing has changed.
@ShopifyDevs
@ddciolac@heysandy801 Trends, features, and Shopify functionality are constantly evolving. There are limitations to the Theme Editor, but there's always theme improvements to be made to stay relevant. If the Theme Store were truly stagnant for 4+ years, the themes would look really dated.
@patrickbo11e@heysandy801 I really think this is the heart of the issue. Building on top of another platform is a huge leap of faith. When you invest a decade into that platform and a single redesign can break your business, it makes you question that leap of faith.
@heysandy801 There's still strong demand for new stores and premium themes for them. As far as I can tell, there isn't anyone in charge of the Theme Store at Shopify hence the radio silence. Why that's the case is puzzling to me.
