Yesterday was my first day at @OpenAI working under the amazing @romainhuet.
I've spent the better part of two years pushing the frontier of having models write code for you, shipping updates week after week for @RepoPrompt.
Transitioning from being a founder is never easy, especially when you have a community of amazing developers who invested so much in your tool.
Thankfully Romain worked hard to ensure that all those users would be taken care in the process, and if you're one such user, you should have an email waiting in your inbox with the details!
I'm very excited to be joining this talented team and work alongside everyone at OpenAI contributing to codex.
@thsottiaux 1. Sorting Projects by "Updated" doesn't work, still sorts by created date.
2. Sometimes reasoning effort and speed changes carry over between threads.
Would be nice to change reasoning effort before implementing a plan.
a setup like this may be primitive but it's not performative. it's just progressive disclosure. these popped up in 2024 and didn't work, so they feel dated, but they were trying to solve the same problem that CLAUDE and SKILL files are still trying to solve today
everyone with setups like this is universally a performative grifter and every extremely successful person i know just calls claude BIG DAWG and describes what they want
Who is working on a Frustration Eval that measures how often a user wants to rip their hair out when using a model as their daily driver?
GPT-5.2 would score WAY higher than its competition right now (lower is better btw)
@mckaywrigley Have you tried the new Proxy DeepWork from Convergence? Curious if it's comparable.
Looking for an alternative while waiting for Manus access. Operator doesn't really cut it right now
@benedictevans I agree with this generally. Though I find my favorite use cases are more arbitrary in nature where the goal is not necessarily a specific end result.
One of my favorites is using it to uncover “unknown unknowns” about a problem, situation or concept.
here is an alternative path for society: ignore the culture war. ignore the attention war. make safe agi. make fusion. make people smarter and healthier. make 20 other things of that magnitude.
start radical growth, inclusivity, and optimism.
expand throughout the universe.
@knoxfortune Anticipation maybe? So when Frank Ocean’s voice comes in and you weren’t expecting it, it’s that much better. I think on Ye and KSG, features showed up listed later. Could be a streaming thing too if the album was just finished.
