@MeAgainCG@LiamMacEoghain@paulmurphy_TD@Keyes I was 12 in 2009, pretty sure I made twitter then in First Year computer class. I can't say I use twitter often, usually just for farming stuff. This popped up on the feed though.
@MeAgainCG@LiamMacEoghain@paulmurphy_TD@Keyes Yeah, I don't live in a shed, it's a modular home. Dug the foundations myself. I didn't blame them, I pointed out that TDs objecting to homes being built is not helping.
Fianna Fail and Fine Gael are responsible for the housing crisis. Not that difficult.
@LiamMacEoghain@paulmurphy_TD@Keyes Man, its a house. It says it in the documents and reports. Paul objected to the lad putting on an refurbishing it and putting on an extension.
@LiamMacEoghain@paulmurphy_TD@Keyes Last time I voted labour, just like the time before that, etc. Paul is a serial objector. He objected to a house extension down the road from himself. Total NIMBY. He objected to a new soccer pitch too.
@LiamMacEoghain@paulmurphy_TD@Keyes There was a lad in Tipperary who was arrested. Numerous councils have done enforcement proceedings against modular houses.
I don't care who wins or loses, i just want TDs to stop objecting against homes.
@LiamMacEoghain@paulmurphy_TD@Keyes What? I live in a modular home, it's not. shed. I am thankful for these changes because it means the council can't kick me out. Would I prefer to buy/build my own, yes. But right now the modular house does the trick.
@LiamMacEoghain@paulmurphy_TD@Keyes Objecting to new extensions, homes, apartments etc. adds to the cost of every new house in the country. People who want to solve the crisis, don't block solutions to the crisis.
@AlexLanghe12493@colmrfeighery@CiaranCuffe Way over the top. It's regulations gone mad! Germany and many US states allow it already, with millions of installs. Literally just plug it in, and it starts producing power.
@AlexLanghe12493@colmrfeighery@CiaranCuffe They are illegal if you don't get an electrician to install them in and fill out the export form. Off grid installation are legal already.
@XEnergyIreland Fair enough, I suppose that the interconnector price must still be less than the solar price, even when we are paying the solar producers not to produce.
