๐จ A nationally protected wetland, #BroadwaterLake, is under threat.
โ ๏ธ Hillingdon Council's proposed Watersports Facility on this SSSI endangers #wildlife & undermines environmental protections.

@ellamcsweeney@EoghanDalton Could the council use #riverfly surveys to help identify where the pollutant is entering the stream? It's a technique widely used for detecting pollution sources... including bleach ๐ก The irony is shocking.
Water voles are mini ecosystem engineers! Not quite enough to create the sizable wetlands needed like actual beavers but certainly shows they can manage the riverbank small scale, keeping light coming in for longer. Taken by the Mimram on Saturday #snazzy@HMWTBadger@WaterVole
Not much of a snazzy picture but a sure sign that water voles really are mini beavers. At Panshanger Park their willow coppicing is keeping the river banks open. @panshangerpark#WaterVoles
Our friends at @AffinityWater made this wonderful video encouraging people to save water to save wildlife. The River Colne and Stockerโs Lake in Hertfordshire features in the film with @GwkSouth and the Colne Valley Regional Park. https://t.co/moo8ZfZGCX
@DuncanWestbury@SaveTurtleDoves More turtle doves this year? Seems there won't be 1 million fewer than the last - at least hope that populations might recover.
