The Mediterranean diet is great to start following if you’re looking for a heart healthy diet. This diet emphasizes the intake of fruits, vegetables, nuts, beans, whole grains, and healthy fats!
When starting to implement fermented foods into your diet make sure they are fermented with live organisms like yeast or bacteria. Some foods are fermented with vinegar which doesn’t contain probiotics. I drink Kombucha daily to get my dose of probiotics!
