I recently partnered with two authors to continue my financial, technical, and technological critique of deep seafloor mining (DSM). I continue to believe that the non-environmental aspects will make it fail. Technology has moved on from making it viable. https://t.co/5zkMw5oO1A

Opportunities to necropsy white sharks are rare so the unfortunate loss of this mature male will ultimately benefit science. Samples will be shared with other scientists including vertebrae for aging & tissue samples for pathology to stomach contents for diet studies and more…
Yesterday a 13’4” male white shark washed up on Nauset Beach. Today @GregSkomal from @MassDMF performed a necropsy. There were no obvious signs pointing to cause of death but tissue samples were secured for @shellspc to analyze.
Here’s a Timelapse video of the necropsy:

NASA and SpaceX have completed the Launch Readiness Review for #EuropaClipper and we are GO for launch! 🚀
Beyond Earth, Jupiter’s moon Europa is considered one of the solar system’s most promising, potentially habitable environments. After an approximately 1.8 billion-mile journey, Europa Clipper will enter orbit around Jupiter in April 2030, where the spacecraft will conduct a detailed survey of Europa to determine whether the icy world could have conditions suitable for life.
Liftoff of the Falcon Heavy is scheduled for Oct 14 at 12:06 pm EDT from LC 39A at @NASAKennedy.
🚀LAUNCH UPDATE!
NASA’s #EuropaClipper is now targeting NET Monday, Oct. 14 for launch!
@NASAKennedy is “all clear” after the storm and teams are moving forward with preparations for the mission to Jupiter’s icy moon Europa.

"It's didn't look too bad". That's because we haven't had access. This morning I got over to Manasota Key and discovered the most catastrophic damage from Milton yet. Lots of homes obliterated. Video below. #Milton
