@thanh_neville Wow. I bet. Have your ferritin re-checked about 6-8 weeks post last dose of IV iron to make sure you’re not still deficient given you used so much to make RBC mass - way to go!

@thanh_neville Non-anemic iron deficiency (my cutoff for adults w/o comorbid inflammation is ferritin < 30) is often quite symptomatic. If you want to keep donating blood, you may need oral iron to support replacing your losses. I usually recommend 65mg every day or every other day!

@Bloodman @BeyondTheCoat I treat low ferritin (<30) as iron deficiency but many ferritin elevations are not iron overload and should not be treated for the ferritin number
