Thrilled to share our latest study in @CircAHA: we ran one of the largest comparative safety analyses of #PFA vs radiofrequency #ablation for #AF, performed
@BIDMChealth (>1,500 #PVI/year). We found a significantly higher stroke risk with PFA. Read on👇

Peri-operative myocardial infarction/injury after non-cardiac surgery: association between cardiologist evaluation and outcomes
Cardiologist evaluation of patients with PMI following major non-cardiac surgery was associated with a reduced risk of major adverse cardiac events and all-cause mortality at 365 days after surgery, suggesting that interdisciplinary management may improve post-operative outcomes.

The largest COVID study to date — covering nearly four years of data and 29 million people — delivers a clear result.
Out of the sample, 23 million were vaccinated and 6 million were not. Among the vaccinated, the risk of dying from COVID was 74% lower, with ZERO increase in deaths from any other cause.
Of course, none of this will change the minds of anti-vaxxers. They will blame the researchers, politics, or even Ukraine. And that’s not a joke — people with anti-vaccine attitudes are significantly more likely to believe that “NATO provoked” the russian war against Ukraine.
Diagnosing HFpEF in Patients With Unexplained Dyspnea by Using Invasive Left Ventricular Pressure-Volume Loops
Half of the patients with HFpEF had normal right-heart catheter hemodynamics, but they fulfilled HFpEF diagnostic criteria by showing impaired relaxation or LV chamber stiffness

Ah November….. that time of the year when you know that thanksgiving is coming and then you get reminded that invasive therapies are ineffective, lowering LDL with super-expensive drugs lowers MACE by a small fraction and that no matter what you do for cardiogenic shock pts still die…

@Hragy Do you might have a CPET per chance? If vo2max < 14 might be a candidate for Tx and OMT? Otherwise talk to your CTO guys if they might wanna tackle the native vessels. Tough case for sure.
Exciting Results from #HELIOS_B Trial! 🌟
