Dwyane Wade locking in after falling down 0-2 in the 2006 NBA Finals series vs Dallas Mavericks.
D.Wade in Games 3-6:
39.3 PPG
8.3 RPG
3.5 APG
50.5% FG
Hopefully Victor Wembanyama knows that if he loses in the Finals at 22 years old, he will no longer be eligible to ever be considered better than Michael Jordan.
Magic retired at 36, Bird retired at 35,
Jordan at 38 (we call ceremonial years)
Kobe at 37 farewell tour and praised, Tim Duncan retired at 40 and his last couple years he was allowed to just be and play. No expectations. Dirk made all star game at 40 averaging 7 and 3 because he was appreciated and honored. Draymond says LeBron deserves that and people get in an uproar. It happens to all the greats. Why is it a problem with a LeBron?
Anyway
LeBron at 41 expected to compete to win it all. Ridiculed if he doesn’t. KD at 37 expected to compete to win it all. Ridiculed if he doesn’t. Steph at 38 team ridiculed for being in play in. I don’t know when we got here but we live in the era of discredit and hypocrisy; but how quickly we forget how we treated the greats of old. 🤷🏾♂️
@Matty_KCSN How would you have felt if Chiefs stick and pick. Commanders go Delane and we are looking at Downs or Styles ?
Keeping that 3rd for another swing and Downs seems to me the better option but what’s your opinion ?
@RealMNchiefsfan Also this is just eye test but 240 looked like just combine weight. He easily looked like he played heavier than that. But even if he didn’t the way he set the edge and stood tackles up with his power and leverage will translate
@RealMNchiefsfan Huge Buckeye fan here and watch all his snaps the past two years.
He’s not really a tweener as some describe him. Really good at both off ball and on ball stuff. Could be a Leo ++. Especially with him being able to rush off the edge were Leo never grew into doing that.
