Common practice in the industry as investors want risk free investments. Even though there is no such thing.

@linzcom So basically if the buyer hadn’t raised his bid and had stuck to his guns then the property would have passed in as it likely wasn’t at reserve. Then negotiations would have continued in private. This agent just got him over reserve and it sold. No story here.

@leozaza @PhilipSoos @jallenha Yes it happens all the time. I had a Chinese client that wanted to buy in his 2 year old granddaughter’s name. She is an Australian citizen as she was born here. Avoids FIRB and mum goes guarantor.
