Malicious false allegations to gain free housing & benefits threw me away from my children to the dark side of the system with deep chasms & colluding agencies.
I agree 100%… greater social penalties will deter people from making false accusations in the first place. Equal punishment to what’s accused?
I feel strongly about this after working with a group of women whose sons were falsely accused and in prison.
This Christmas, remember those who aren’t celebrating.
Those alienated from children.
Those surviving abuse behind closed doors.
Those whose stories go unheard.

Abuse doesn’t discriminate. It happens to men too, but their stories are rarely told.
Such Reckless Hate is a collection of real, unfiltered accounts from male survivors.

Today, Supporting Male Victims of Domestic Abuse Day — the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham once again used the occasion to promote its Women’s Safety Forum, posting nothing to recognise male victims.
In 2024, @lbbdcouncil falsely claimed in a Freedom of Information response (Ref: 34189349) that it had “supported Male Victims of Abuse Day on 7 November 2024” by sharing #MenYouAreNotAlone posts. When challenged with evidence, the Council admitted this was untrue — confirming it had made no posts at all to mark the day.
One year later, despite acknowledging the error and being reminded of its duty under the Equality Act 2010 to consider the needs of both sexes, LBBD has repeated the same pattern: silence on men, visibility for women.
This isn’t equality — it’s selective compassion.
