Have you ever worked on something just to find out that the person writing the research paper didn't know the difference between mean, mode and median? I have seen this far to often in fields like biology... and it scares the shit out of me! #biology#statistics
Biology is missing incentives to reproduce experimental results of others - and researchers abuse this.
In other fields this is a standard, but in biology this is not the case. The result? Popularity driven publications with false claims and poor data analysis.
Every single biology researcher I talked to knows of at least one professor or research group that did that.
Then seeing some of these results being taught in college classes was horrendous.
@musk_coco that, how the tax system works and a legal basis of the country you live in. We literally learn how to analyze poems, but not how to live in the system.
- one of the many reasons why the educational system is BS.
@WorldAndScience NOTE:
1. These lakes are NOT water but hydrocarbons (primarily methane (CHโ) and ethane (CโHโ)).
2. The moon Io has lakes of molten silicate lava.
3. BUT large moons (Europa, Ganymede, Callisto, Enceladus) have subsurface oceans made of water beneath thick ice shells.

No Exit, No pivots.
Why? Because I want to solve aging, and all current approaches are unscientific, unstructured, or insufficient. I want to change this.
