@Freexul@hi_monkey_face@awthiSA@visegrad24 Problem is, these laws don't mean anything. The government itself still sending out RFQs to white companies only. These laws are there to shut people up. When applying for government contracts they want reference letters from previous clients, where do we get them?
@Freexul@hi_monkey_face@awthiSA@visegrad24 I've actually seen this myself. I fought in a company to earn x amount after a "promotion" and offered less than half the amount the previous white guy had in that position. They hired an entry lvl white guy, who earned the same as me in this "promotion" in the entry lvl
@deepfrd@SandyofCthulhu You spoke of race like SAs problems only affect a specific race, what I'm saying is - all the problems you mentioned are there, it's a SAn problem, don't make it seem like it's race specific
@cptnjamescook@SandyofCthulhu White people still hold managerial positions in these firms you speak of. And they hire alot of Black (African, Indian and Coloureds) to improve their BEE score, in general and supervisor positions. SA is far from perfect, but the injustices are felt by us all
@cptnjamescook@SandyofCthulhu Yes, that's for businesses that want to do business with the government. B-BBEE does not benefit the average black fellow, it benefits the government and their criminal friends. There are alot of injustices in SA, and it affects EVERYONE.
@deepfrd@SandyofCthulhu All of the things you're mentioning are actually true, what is untrue is thinking this only affects the white population. The minibus taxis? Only blacks are forced into those. Yes, the politicians are corrupt and that affects everyone. No go zones are cause of Nigerian druglords
@cptnjamescook@SandyofCthulhu I'm not trying to change your mind on this, just shedding some light on that specifically. White people still live comfortably in SA, the only people benefitting from this is corrupt politicians and criminals. You perception of things is totally wrong
@cptnjamescook@SandyofCthulhu Those are not for jobs... Those are for government contracts, the idea was to essentially "correct the wrongs of the past"(apartheid). Majority of companies are still owned be white South Africans and they can choose who to hire and how to pay them (often more for whites)
