@Arrowhead_142db @EvryManAWildcat@Bluntmstr@BrianMcGannon Blue valley is the only one that really stands out among the rest. (I’m talking public schools) But the likes of Shawnee Mission and Olathe are no better than Lees Summit or Blue Springs. In fact the Niche rankings have both LS and BS ranked higher than SM and Olathe.
@EvryManAWildcat@Bluntmstr@BrianMcGannon Goes both ways
Look at any “moving to KC w/kids” post on Reddit. 85% of comments are joco folks saying there are better schools on the KS side “so just go there”. And it isnt even true. Point: both sides hold unhealthy superiority complexes. Spare me with the victim narrative
@TopekaTalls The county, KCMO and teams didn’t not work well together and the campaign was not well ran. Citizens deserved better planning for their BILLIONS in tax dollars
They completely switched plans at the last minute and chose the most controversial site only 6 weeks before a vote.
@John5tork@RG4YNWA24 Idk what he’s going on about but the renderings for the stadium in the crossroads were fantastic imo. Didn’t care much for the other two
@MizBiasTakes @SEC_Far_West@chris_stritzel It feels so small time. Go to a game at Busch Stadium. Great location, skyline and atmosphere. City is buzzing on a Friday night game
Compare that to a new royals new park at legends. Tailgate in a Nebraska furniture mart parking lot and a Dave & busters in the outfield view…
@skeeto111@chris_stritzel Nah. Somehow roughly a million people gather at Union station for World Series and Super Bowl parades but we wonder how 33,000 people will all go to a game at the same spot.
It would be quite easy to park in a garage at the plaza and street car straight to the stadium
@chris_stritzel@John5tork Jackson County voters did vote it down, but it was handled very poorly by both the county and royals. Citizens deserved better
They picked 2 sites, then 6 weeks before the vote unveiled their plan at neither of those sites. Instead chose to most controversial site. What a mess
