@englishspecial Anthology is out the window for us - our students did part of it in lockdown, part in school with disruption and they struggle to hold so many (to them) unconnected poems in their memory.

@plathfanclub @LauraLolder @SusanSEnglish My group found this bit really interesting in light of the context around schools like this! From that perspective, they can empathise far more with how he became obsessed with avoiding poverty (although not how he then acts).

@MrsP_English We went chronological with our rewrite! Start with origin stories and work through to modern by end of Y8. Then, Y9 we thematically linked to GCSE texts (gothic/tragedy) so students gained an understanding of the ideas.
